Surgical site infections (SSI) are a significant percentage of hospital infections, and demand effective control. Considering that most of these infections develop after discharge, it is necessary to follow up surgery patients. However, it is very difficult for hospitals to do this follow-up, finding a feasible surveillance method in terms of human resources and infrastructure. This work sought to review the control methods of SSI control after discharge recommended in the literature, and to describe the experience of nosocomial infection control in discharge follow-up.Downloads
