Abstract

This article compares a contemporary work to a philosopher’s famous text: Clockwork Angels, a conceptual album from Canadian band Rush, and Voltaire’s Candid. The latter served as inspiration to the former, so that it is a fundamental part of the construction of characters, environments and concepts of the narrative.
