This article discusses the interpretations of a group of Brazilian immigrants (State of Goiás) on the relationship between their emigrant project and their religious identity. As part of the results of a multisite ethnography carried out in Brazil (State of Goiás) and in the Republic of Ireland, between 2009 and 2011, this work also analyzes the work of evangelical churches and Catholic priests in supporting Brazilians living in the country. It is possible to identify that mainly the evangelical immigrants understand that their trajectory is the result of a “divine project”, and their presence in the country would also have a missionary character.
