The importance of the reflection on architecture in the political, social and cultural contexts of the contemporaneous cities, side by side with the changes introduced by the new civilizing forms is discussed. The generic city configuration is seen as a new urban space and a laboratory of relationships that is directly confronted with the ancient city inherited model. The architects’ and philosophers’ thought on issues emerging from the new configuration of the contemporaneous city is approached.Downloads
