Abstract

The displacement in the space is an essential experience for those who dedicate themselves to study the cities in its contemporary dynamics and migratory flows. This text is part of my walking through the Paris streets, when I did a postdoc resherche in 2011/2012. From Paris city as a starting point, the issues raised here are related to the cities at large and its relation to the artistic system. How and to what extent, the artistic system and the artrists themselves, critics and curators expanding or interfering in the debates about the integration of people living together in the space of contemporary city? Could art be part of the discussion about cities with a strong accent on prejudice?
