The architectural works not only project spaces but also time by which we express our notion of time and our
manifold relationship with it. This is what this article mainly demonstrates in different periods beginning with Ancient Egypt. Once we create our temporality between what passes by and what remains,it seems that we have to place references of permanence and consistency in a world that increasingly emphasizes the fleeting and the volatile. This is one of the main tasks required in architecture nowadays as one of the few places able to create such references.
