INTEGRALIZAÇÃO DA EXTENSÃO NO CURRÍCULO DE GRADUAÇÃO DA UFMG

Abstract

This paper presents the procedures adopted by the Deans of Graduation and Extension of the Federal University of Minas Gerais for the implementation of the integralization of the extension in the graduation curricula established by Resolution nº 07/2018 of the Chamber of Higher Education of the National Council of Education. We present the way in which the university, in the use of its autonomy, conceived the presence of extension in the curricula, we discuss the work methodology adopted by the commission for its implementation and we present the results of the structured work to promote support to the Graduation Collegiate of the various courses of the institution, to the Structuring Teaching Nuclei and to the University's Extension Centers. As a result, we have the normative institutionalization and the appointment of joint teaching and extension commissions, whose work was developed from meetings and events (Debate Cycles) with the groups involved and with internal and external guests, publication of guiding documents, structuring of Moodle class as a repository of information and communication channel and inclusion of extension in curricular reforms. We conclude that, in a participatory way, the Dean's Offices have offered support to the academic community in the process of implementing Extension Training at UFMG.
