QUALIFICATION COURSE IN BAKERY AND CONFECTIONERY FOR WOMEN INSERTION IN THE MARKET

This report was part of a university’s extension project by the group PET – State University of Ponta Grossa’s Food Engineering course, for the training and insertion of women in the market, throught a local institution in the city of Ponta Grossa (PR) that welcomes students during the second shift. The target audience were the mothers of these young people at social risk and the objective was to offer them the opportunity to learn about the bakery and confectionery area but also in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This activity was of great value to the group, as it deepened the students' knowledge in the issues stated above and offered an opportunity to be in contact with the external environment, promoting an enriching exchange of experiences between the community and the academics, which is essential for the education itself. The satisfaction of the listeners regarding the course was observed, as they not only felt valued, but also, they learned and improved their knowledge in the area.
