Abstract
Sacred art is intrinsic to the environment (temples), present in the most varied forms such as paintings and sculptures, in addition to several other elements necessary for the liturgical rite, such as implements, clothing, etc. Added to this universe is sacred music, essential to the completeness of religious rites and in sensitizing the hearts of the faithful. From this perspective, here two elements present in the Christian temple are presented in parallel, iconography and liturgical hymns, taking as a visual reference details of the illusionist painting of the church of the Imaculada Conceição da Praia, in Salvador, Bahia. The proposal is to establish a possible direct relationship between the characters in the painting and their presence in the context (and text) of the liturgical hymns, in a sequenced logic relationship, that is, the possibility of the figures having a direct relationship with the stanzas of the hymns .
