School of Fine Arts: the need for an institutionalized collection policy
Keywords:
Collection policy, preservation, moving image, EBA-UFMGAbstract
The article derives from the master's thesis defended in the Postgraduate Program in Arts at the School of Fine Arts, Federal University of Minas Gerais (EBA-UFMG) in February 2017. It aims to publicize the need for an institutionalized collection policy that allows for the preservation of moving image collections under the responsibility of teachers from the Animated Film and Digital Arts course at the School of Fine Arts. This policy would mainly enable greater control over the receipt and disposal of documents and greater decision-making power vis-à-vis higher bodies to request resources and materials.
