Abstract

Oral Lichen Planus has been associated with the hepatitis C virus infection, but findings are still controversial. Thus, it is not established if this correlation is real or by chance. The purpose of this study is to review the literature about the prevalence of the relation between oral Lichen Planus and Hepatitis C. A critical discussion of the analyzed data was done. Although the studies suggest a regional loco association, the relation between these two entities is not totally clear and more studies are necessary to evaluate this issue.
