The main objective of this article is to reflect on the interartistic conection between the novel A cidade de Ulisses (2017), by Teolinda Gersão, and the paintings by Maria de Lourdes Ribeiro (Maluda): Lisboa III (1973), Lisboa XXXII (1986), Lisboa XXXIII (1987), Janela XXVIII (1987) and Janela XIX - Lisboa (1981), based on the representation of images of the city of Lisbon. The dialogue envolves theories about the correspondence between literature and the visual arts, more specifically, between the novel and painting. The images revealed through the words of the narrative gain even more visibility through the appreciation of Maluda's urban paintings, provoking significant resonances between the compositions of the two artists. Maluda's geometrical features intensify Teolinda Gersão's literary discourse in A cidade de Ulisses, another novel by the author that is conducive to interartistic dialogue.
