Abstract

This paper discusses the educators passion, analysing through the two meanings of this word: affective involvement and suffering. Based on MANACORDAs studies, the author discusses the history of the educator, maked by the social devaluation of his/her profession and the social demand for the accomplishment of his/her activies with extreme dedication.
