This article develops a theoretical study about school democratic administration at public education in Brazil, taking it as a principle, method, and educational purpose. To this end, it conceptually reflects and analyzes elements that constitute the notion of school democratic administration, looking for to build a concept that not only helps understanding the phenomenon of democratic administration and its various faces, but also helps in the analysis of concrete cases of policies and processes implementation in terms of education democratization and school administration. Based on Norberto Bobbio's democratic theory, the article revisits a concept of democratic management and reconstructs it, increasing fundamental aspects focusing at a more effective theoretical elaboration.
