Abstract

This article aims to challenge the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, started by Saint John Baptist de La Salle in 1694 in France. Education commonly associated with an exclusively denominational educational institution, what is observed in the pedagogical proposal of such schools is a reformist teaching but focused on traditional needs and that went social education despite the other denominational institutions. La Salle created the ideal responsible for the conduction of pedagogical practices and all its schools, as well as “small in life the formation of the first master-brothers”. Its originality took place not only in the pedagogical field, but also in the ecclesiastical field, reinforcing the congregational model of consecrated life, formed exclusively by lay people, whose era of preparation for the task of teaching the children of the poor and artisans to read and write, regarding the task of literacy a aristocratic teaching project. In his work, he saw more schools, with the brothers, what he saw was education that, although it was difficult throughout the period of elementary education for France especially.

FACEL; Especialista em Tradução e Interpretação de LIBRAS pela Faculdade São Fidelis (FSF) e Especialista em Docência e Gestão do Ensino Superior pela Universidade Paranaense (UNIPAR). Professor conteudista em cursos de graduação e pós-graduação na modalidade EaD nas disciplinas de História das Religiões e História da Arte (Faculdade Eficaz), Filosofia da Educação (Unimar E Unicesumar), Sociologia da Religião, Psicologia da Religião, Libras, Territórios Educativos (VG Educacional). Professor de Filosofia pela Secretaria de Estado da Educação de Santa Catarina -SED. Atuou como professor de Filosofia pela Secretaria de Estado da Educação do Paraná de 2013 a 2017; Atuou como Intérprete de Libras na Universidade Paranaense, campus Cianorte, no ano de 2016. Exerceu a mesma função no Centro Universitário de Maringá no ano de 2017.

Cézar de Alencar Arnaut de Toledo, Universidade Estadual de Maringá

Possui graduação em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (1978), mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (1987) e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996). Atualmente é professor voluntário no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em História da Educação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Religião, Filosofia, Educação, Educação Brasileira, século XVI, século XVII, século XVIII, Fundamentos da Educação, Reforma Protestante, Protestantismos, Ensino Religioso, Instituições Educativas, Jesuítas e Franciscanos.
