OPEN DATA IN SCIENCE EDUCATION RESEARCH: PERSPECTIVES, CHALLENGES, AND POSSIBILITIES

In this editorial we present the open science perspectives adopted by Ensaio with an emphasis on open data practices and shared data. The availability of research data can improve transparency, collaboration, replicability and enrichment of scientific production in the field of Science Education. Therefore, in this editorial we present new perspectives on the topic based on our knowledge acquired throughout 2023 in the implementation of a data’s editor-in-chief, whose work we detail in a flowchart (figure 1). Furthermore, we report some of the results of the interactions we had with our editorial team, authors and academic community involved in discussions about open data and we also summarize the paths we have taken in this sphere.
