Conservación del océano y Museos de ciencia: un estudio de caso sobre experiencias familiares durante una visita al Museo de la Vida

En este estudio, utilizamos grabaciones audiovisuales para analizar las conversaciones de 10 grupos familiares durante una visita a la exposición temporal “Océanos” (Museu da Vida, Río de Janeiro, Brasil) para comprender cómo los visitantes se involucraron con temas de conservación de la biodiversidad marina. Los resultados evidencian que la exposición despertó el interés de las familias al utilizar objetos de diferente naturaleza para retratar temas de interés vinculados al contexto familiar. Las familias hablaron entre sí e interactuaron con la exposición compartiendo información sobre los océanos y la biodiversidad marina. Los adultos adoptaron conductas facilitadoras: hacer preguntas, leer paneles y hacer asociaciones con experiencias previas que involucraron a los niños. Los niños participaron activamente compartiendo sus conocimientos y opiniones sobre los animales. La exposición sensibilizó a los visitantes sobre la contaminación de los ecosistemas marinos al ofrecer oportunidades para conversar y reflexionar sobre los comportamientos que impactan la biodiversidad marina y las formas de protegerla.
