In Brazil, recent changes in migration dynamics reflect the stages of demographic transition, of low population growth and aging. From the process of industrialization and accelerated urbanization of the 1950s to the late twentieth century, became rule to note the increase in the volume of intermunicipal migrants in each census. In this context, the first stage of the study was to estimate the probabilities of emigration by simple age, in order to examine whether this trend can be seen in Census 2010. The first results shows a reversal of this trend, and the age structure still favored the increase of migration, since the proportion of young adults in Brazil was still growing. In a second step, we present the major migration flows, by prevalence of age, that occurred late last century and compared them with the latest information available from the 2010 Census, in order to understand how the migration process had effects on the spatial redistribution of Brazilian population. It was found that RMSP has worked as the greatest "hub" of spatial redistribution of the Brazilian population, while the interior of São Paulo is configured as the immediate region of east-west direction of population flows in Brazil.
