Ethnography of experience with young precarious workers of drug trafficking in some slums of the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte reflecting
on the place of work in contemporary society. Through hermeneutic analysis proposed by Geertz, we seek to analyse shared cultural codes in the bodies’s own ways and styles of young slum dwellers and how they relate to the subversive experiences within the urban spectacle of big cities. We also look to analyze crime as a socially constructed category and how the Brazilian penal system goes through “cultural accumulation of violence and racism.”
