BH S/A: discussing the neoliberalization of urban space from Belo Horizonte

Abstract

Neoliberalization is an international process that takes place and is necessarily mediated from the local scale. The project BH S/A aims to understand this process in an integrated way to the extension activities developed by Grupo de Pesquisa Indisciplinar from UFMG Architecture School. First, the article presents the context of neoliberalization with emphasis on the inflections observed in the local urban policy. Then, it discuss the entrepreneurism of municipal urban policy. In the last part, it presents a preliminary list of neoliberal fronts of action in local urbanism.
