Complexity is a notion that emerges in Felix Guattari’s work related to his production around schizoanalytical cartography. Complexity as a concept can be thought of on the same way as the schizoanalytical cartographies themselves, both are concepts that are generative, aiming not only to understand, map and analyse, but also unleash, invent, create, modulate processes. The concept of complexity, together with Guattari’s analysis of the modes of semiotisation from contemporary capitalism is very useful to understand the politics of subjectivation embed in contemporary modes of production, in the realm of the arts, clinics, social constituencies and more. In this article, I discuss the work of collectives, groups and research projects which have been using cartography of complexity to work out micropolitical processes. I argue in this article how cartographic processes are constitutive of the cartographer-researcher, interfering in the dichotomy that separates the researcher from the object of the research. Cartography operates as a militant and micropolitical research process that carries out an analysis of the flows of power and capital (while it also works as a constitutive element of the processes of subjectivation) in its processes of singularizsation, resisting several oppressions.
