Resumo

A médica e psicanalista Judith Kestenberg criou um método de análise do movimento chamado Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), propôs uma abordagem inovadora de prevenção e intervenção no desenvolvimento precoce, e conduziu extensas pesquisas sobre as crianças sobreviventes do Holocausto e sobre os filhos de sobreviventes, as quais produziram um grande conhecimento sobre o impacto psicológico de traumas de grande magnitude vividos na infância. A maior parte das publicações sobre ela aborda o KMP. Suas investigações sobre as crianças sobreviventes do Holocausto e sobre os filhos dos sobreviventes foram objeto de poucos estudos sistemáticos nos campos da psicologia e da psicanálise. Esse artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o percurso das suas pesquisas e caracterizar suas investigações sobre as crianças sobreviventes do Holocausto, tendo em vista contribuir pra o resgate e divulgação de seu trabalho.
