Happiness and well-being are broad constructs that result from the harmonious interaction of various aspects of life, including religiosity/spirituality. The aim of this qualitative study is to understand the concept of happiness in Islam. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six Muslim religious leaders working in the Brazilian context, analyzed from the perspective of positive psychology, the psychology of religion, and Islamic psychology. The results show that while worldly happiness is associated with hedonism, the Quran indicates paths to a more pleasant, eudaimonic life, linked to faith and good deeds. It is concluded that the integration of spirituality and religiosity into daily life is an inherent characteristic of Islamic belief and intrinsically related to happiness, playing a fundamental role in the flourishing of Muslims.
