The Importance of the Work of the Literary Text in the Form of Project

Abstract

This article intends to promote a reflection about the pedagogical practice of the work of the literary text in the form of a project, taking into account the context and the daily life of the student, as well as the challenges related to the habit of reading to which literature teachers are submitted. The corpus used for this study is the tale “The Devil’s Church” (1883), by Machado de Assis, a text that served as the basis for a school project developed in the classroom of a private school, with the final objective of to prepare a video, summarizing the Machadian tale through a speech similar to a gossip, with the aim of publishing it on the TikTok platform and disseminating it on this social network, aiming at the persuasion and capture of more young people to read the aforementioned tale.
