Vestiges of a rhetoric: the support, the material base and the texts of pedagogical journals
Abstract
By presenting a brief review of research on pedagogical journals, this paper discusses the lack of studies on reading and reading materials in such journals. A theoretical framewok for the analysis of discourse and journals, as texts and objects, is provided. Editorials from three different pedagogical journals from the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, are then analysed from to three points of view: function, format and position, and finally, discourse strategies and organization.Downloads
