DANCE AS A FORM OF RECREATION IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT

Whereas in the context of today's society, people have less and less time for leisure, to properly feed and relate, dance as well as a healthy practice. Dance like leisure can provide its participants, full physical, social, emotional development, motor and cognitive, as well as stimulate creativity, autonomy, reaching as final product, many goals. Thus, this study aimed to awaken behavior change through the practice of leisure physical activities, including dance, encouraging and motivating teachers in a public school in the municipality of Humaitá, Amazonas State, to adopt habits and lifestyles healthy. The methodology used was the bibliographical research and field research, using the techniques of data collection participant observation and questionnaire. Some teachers during the research showed that managed how many improvements to the physical, social and cognitive, others realized that through dance your life has changed, the project that participated provided knowledge of the importance of dance and other physical activities, overcoming obstacles and changes of healthy habits. The survey results showed that dance as leisure possibility contributed positively to understanding the adoption of healthy lifestyles.Downloads
