Résumé

Considerando os pilares da construção da (compreensão em) leitura – leitor, texto, atividade e contexto – e os processos do discurso na e para a aprendizagem, busca-se tecer reflexões relacionadas ao texto e à (compreensão em) leitura, tais como: propósitos, procedimentos e problemas. Como fundamento, são utilizadas abordagens de trabalho com as informações do texto propostas por Meyer e colegas, Van Dijk e W. Kintsch e colegas. Dois estudos são apresentados, observando-se unidades menores de ideia – UMIs – como elementos básicos à construção das ideias centrais e do nível mais alto de representação. Os resultados apontam para a percepção de UMIs mais importantes numa síntese por leitores-experts, mas esperava-se maior coincidência na seleção. Paralelamente, vê-se a possibilidade do uso de UMIs como andaimes para aprendizagem de leitores em formação.
