Studies suggest that about 80% of workers suffer from low back pain during their working life. The literature examined showed low back pain as a multifactor ethiology which includes individual characteristics, physical effort and factors linked to organization and working conditions. In order to provide holistic care for workers with low back pain, we suggest a multidisciplinary approach to break down barriers which result from the institutional culture of the health services, which make the work of the team difficult, considering in this way the worker as a whole and establishing strategies for health promotion.Downloads
