Considerations on conducting qualitative research

Abstract

This paper results from considerations made by postgraduate students who share their knowledge in conducting scientific research. It aims to comment on issues that researchers should address while conducting a serious qualitative, scientific and ethical research. The chain of thoughts that substantiates the research requires pertinence and deep inquiries to achieve theoretical and methodological coherence during the process. The researcher needs to comprehend the reality in order to select the best means, techniques, subjects and schedule. There are many ways with different possibilities and limits while trying to explore, describe and analyze the subjective aspects involved in a qualitative research. This article highlights some guidelines that should be considered while designing a qualitative research, in order to demonstrate its importance to the construction of knowledge
