Abstract

This article describes some strategies and methodologies used in the teaching of Nursing Epidemiology and Collective Health in the Nursing Course at the Pontifical Catholic University- Minas, Brazil. The Course is based on a new curricular project and new pedagogical aspects. This project guides the elaboration of content of the discipline of Epidemiology, contextualized in the social problems and problems related to human resources in health services. The objectives and strategies include integration between the University and health services and the training of professionals to contribute to consolidate the Brazilian Health System.
