This work brings considerations in regard to the Passover seder associated with Jewish identity. In the light of food anthropology, we´ll discuss the incorporation processes through which identity is carried out, the foods that make up the seder dish (keará), as well as the understanding of the historical context with which it dialogues and identify the rituals in which it appears. In order to do so, we bring bibliographic excerpts to reflect on the food symbolism in a historical-cultural context of identity affirmation within the multiple displacements of a community who remained connected to their origins, preserving their individuality through rites in which their faith is present.
