Abstract

Food is the basis of survival for animals because through it nutrients are acquired that participate in chemical reactions to generate energy, build cells and tissues and allow the performance of biological functions. The technological knowledge acquired by the human species throughout its existence allowed for demographic growth, intellectual and cognitive evolution, the industrial revolution and the promotion/maintenance of health. Culinary Medicine defines the rebirth of an area of ​​medical activity with the capacity to treat eating disorders with a huge impact on the health of the human species.
