In this study, we explore the modernization of work relations in women's football in Brazil, emphasizing the emergence of agents as central figures in the formalization of contracts and career management of female players, from the perspective of gender relations and intersectionality. Twenty athletes from Serie A1 of the years 2020 and 2021 were interviewed, with inclusion criteria based on experience and career length. The findings reveal that professionalization has brought advances such as increased structure and visibility, but also new forms of dependency and vulnerability, with agents centralizing power. Regional and economic inequalities exacerbate the fragmentation of contractual practices, particularly affecting players outside the major centers. The discrepancy between the promise of professionalization and the reality faced underscores the need for more effective regulation.
