Abstract
This article deals with three concepts used by the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben in the Homo Sacer project to explain how they are articulated in Agambenian ethics. According to the philosopher, the political tradition has placed the notion of action at the centre of its reflections which, according to this perspective, has led to an absolute opposition between means and ends, thus establishing a vicious circle in which human actions are irrevocably fated to fulfil a destiny. For this reason, Agamben proposes that action be replaced by use in political reflection. If it is possible to define Agambenian ethics as an ethics of use, this use is not to be confused with utility or instrumentality. It is pure use, which implies not only a deposition of instrumental utility but also a displacement of the property relationship.
