This essay discusses the importance of contemporary adaptations of classic texts, which aim at positioning them in the new contexts of enunciation in which they are resignified. In order to achieve this goal, we analyze the play God: from the origin of the universe to the origin of the theatre, by Éderson Miranda, focusing on the particularities of dramatic texts and their representation.
