This paper aims at delineating and systematizing the research’s theoretical pathways, in the field of comparative literature studies, when it comes to investigations that take children’s literature as its object of analysis. Simultaneously, we seek to show the redefinition of the very notion of children’s literature as well as its theoretical construct feature from new considerations made in the field of literary and cultural studies in the last two decades of the twentieth century and in the first decades of the twentieth-first century.
