With the emergence of digital culture, photography is changing from film obsolescence to the suppression of photography staffs in several newspapers. How do the artists, photographers and writers react to this economical crisis of photography? Are we really entering a post-photographic era? This article suggests to measure the impact of the digital revolution through the prism of Joan Fontcuberta’s photofictions. Rejecting both apocalyptic and teleological interpretations of this technological transition, Joan Fontcuberta ratify the end of the indexical function of photography.
