The Ship of fools (1503-1504), Hieronymus Bosch, and the Ship of Emigrants (1939-1941), by Lasar Segall, recorded in a singular way the weakness that sustains the human condition of the damned to the non-place. The works are included on death theme the rich possibility of dialogue and exploration of what Michel Foucault identified in the History of Madness, as “exclusion of games.” In this work, the reading and interpretation of sad works highlight the surreptitious operation that generates the object / abject sharing, purification / exclusion, under which the excluded subject - whether in crazy figure, the leper, the migrant or refugee - experience of death.
