This article aims to explore some concepts regarding the relations between poetry and philosophy that the French theorist Michel Collot has been elaborating since the 1980s. He has been dedicated to the study of the relations between poetics and space in modern poetry, based mainly on the contributions of phenomenology, from which he borrows the husserlian concept of structures of horizon, as well as on the ontology established by Merleau-Ponty This paper also presents a reading of the poem “Um novo Jó”, by Manoel de Barros, as an example of how contemporary poetry sometimes approaches the postulates of phenomenology, the “returning to the things themselves”.
