Francisco Pellé é ator e produtor nascido no Piauí e fundador, juntamente com Tarcísio Prado, Arimatan Martins e Airton Martins, do Grupo Harém de Teatro, que existe desde 1985. Premiado como melhor ator em diversos festivais nacionais, Pellé participou de um estágio de dois anos em Portugal, no final dos anos 90 – uma experiência que mudou sua vida e fez com que começasse a pensar na integração artística de países lusófonos. Desde 2008, Pellé é curador do Festival de Teatro Lusófono – o FESTLUSO – que anualmente apresenta, em diversas cidades do Piauí e Maranhão, peças de vários países falantes de português. É um profissional que admiro e com quem muito aprendo. Em 2008 e 2009, o grupo de teatro OS FEDERAIS (UFPI), projeto de extensão coordenado por mim, participou do festival – o primeiro dessa natureza no Brasil. Em 29 de março de 2022, fiz uma entrevista on-line com Pellé (via Google Meet), especialmente para submissão ao dossiê “Literaturas e Artes Negras em Diálogos Contínuos” da Aletria: Revista de Estudos de Literatura.
