Formada pela UFMG, Natália Carolina Resende é professora no Trinity College, em Dublin, na Irlanda, e teve projeto financiado pelo programa Marie Skłodowska-Curie, da União Europeia, investigando como uma segunda língua pode ser reprogramada na interação com sistemas de tradução automática. Atualmente, conduz pesquisas que exploram o uso da inteligência artificial generativa na tradução literária e os impactos cognitivos dessas ferramentas sobre o tradutor. Na primeira etapa, ela e sua equipe analisaram a tradução de poesia com o uso dessa tecnologia e a conclusão foi surpreendente.
