Abstract: This essay focuses on the concepts of space and place in contemporary literature under the perspective of Deleuze’s thoughts, especially by his formulations about the processes of desterritorialization, maps and folds, as well as Derrida’s concept of khôra (the non-place of language), one of the most complex reflections of deconstruction’s theory.
Keywords: space; place; contemporary literature.
