Résumé

Resumo: Este ensaio tem como objeto a discussão a respeito da herança literária de Borges para os novos escritores. Seria essa herança nefasta ou de outra ordem? Sem atribuir algum juízo de valor ao debate, pretende-se apontar um dos pontos da poética borgiana responsável por sua consagração mundial, qual seja, o da autonomia literária. A presença/ausência da imagem do escritor/autor transforma-se em tema literário, intriga que se enreda/desenreda como espelho reduplicador da vida literária e da literatura.

Abstract: This essay aims to discuss Borges’s literary heritage left to new writers. Would this heritage be ominous or otherwise? Without making any value judgments about this discussion, it also intends to point out one of the aspects of Borges’s Poetics responsible for his world-wide renown, which is his literary autonomy. The presence/absence of the writer/author’s image becomes a literary theme, a plot that entangles/disentangles itself, as a mirror that reduplicates literary life and literature.
