A construção da masculinidade em Of Mice and Men de John Steinbeck

O presente artigo busca discutir a construção das masculinidades em Of mice and man (1937), de John Steinbek, questionando-se acerca da formação das masculinidades no espaço rancheiro estadunidense e tomando como foco principal os personagens Lennie e George. Para tal, este trabalho se utiliza das contribuições de Connel e Messerschmidt (2013), Connel (2005), Reeser (2010) e Laing (1969). Este estudo justifica-se por contribuir com os estudos acerca da masculinidade, os quais têm se destacado nas últimas décadas e têm tornado disponíveis novas ferramentas para a exposição e imposição masculina.
