Este artigo propõe investigar como se dá a relação da literatura policial de Laura Lippman com um projeto ético determinado. Com base na leitura de obras selecionadas, pretende-se analisar como essa autora se vale da inventividade da linguagem para traduzir, em narrativa, o fenômeno da violência e a falência das instituições.
