Abstract

Lymphoma is a malignant neoplasm that develops in the lymph nodes. One possible therapeutic approach for this disease is bone marrow transplant. Under immunosuppression conditions, all infectious foci can be activated and, for this reason, all active infections in hematopoietic stem cell pre-transplant patients must be eradicated prior to transplant so as to prevent or reduce the risk of systemic complications in these patients.

Aim: Present a case report of dental care provided to a non-Hodgkin lymphoma patient with an urgent need for hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
