Abstract

The article questions some of the scope and limits of the Democratic and Popular Strategy and of the general struggles guided by this ideal in the field of education. This is a bibliographic study that uses historical, conceptual and documentary analysis. We tried to show how the proposals oriented by the democratic and popular strategy were assimilated by the movements that fought for the democratization of education, in defense of the public school, which were the flags raised, tactics used and the consequences for the political organization, indicating a certain convergence between the productions of educational research, the explicit demands in the PNE (1997), the organization of the FNDEP, and the resolutions of the PT and the democratic and popular ideas. The educational field, as part of the totality, expressed in a particular way the practical consciousness of the working class. The research aims to collaborate in directing criticisms that contribute to new strategic formulations, guiding flags and tactics of struggle, with the aim not only of achieving small improvements, but also in order to disrupt the social order of Capital.

  • Emyly Kathyury Kataoka, Prefeitura Município de Jundiaí

    Doutora em Educação (2018) pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC); Mestra em Educação (2012) pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Possui Licenciatura em Pedagogia (2017) pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR), e Licenciatura em Educação Física (2008) pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Atualmente é professora concursada na Rede Municipal de Jundiaí - SP (Professora PEB I), atuando nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental e na Educação Infantil. Foi professora da disciplina de Educação Física na Rede Estadual de Ensino do Paraná (2009-2011) na Rede Municipal de Ensino do Município de São Paulo/SP (2011-2014). Tem experiência na área de Educação e Educação Física, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Democratização da Educação; Estratégia Democrático e Popular; Relações entre Trabalho e Educação; Produção do Conhecimento; Educação Física Escolar e Metodologias de Ensino da Educação Física.

  • Luciana Pedrosa Marcassa, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

    Possui Licenciatura em Educação Física pela UNICAMP (1998), Mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (2002) e Doutorado em Filosofia da Educação pela UNICAMP (2009), com bolsa sanduíche na Université Bordeaux-3, França. Após dez anos vinculada à Faculdade de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), hoje é docente do Departamento de Metodologia de Ensino do Centro de Ciências da Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (MEN/CED/UFSC), e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGE/UFSC). Trabalha e estuda a formação de professores de Educação Física e também as políticas educacionais para a Educação Básica, com enfoque na relação juventude, trabalho e educação. É líder do TMT/ Núcleo de Estudos sobre as Transformações no Mundo do Trabalho (UFSC/CNPq).
