The evaluative review of an article that seeks to understand how high school students from a public school understand the concept of democracy is the main objective of the article “Engagement, deliberation and information: how students think about democracy”. The text is the result of research carried out in a public school in the city of Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, through which students are asked “What is democracy?”.
