THE REVISTA SCHOLA AND ITS SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION ROLE IN THE ASSOCIAÇÃO BRASILEIRA DE EDUCAÇÃO (ABE)

Abstract

In this article, we aim to identify and discuss the scientific dissemination activities carried out by Revista Schola, a journal linked to the Associação Brasileira de Educação (ABE). The research was based on a set of documents located in the Arquivo e Biblioteca Carmem Jordão, linked to the association, covering the period between 1930 and 1931, as this corresponds to the period when the publication was in circulation and valid. The methodology is based on the historical method as a research method, according to Rüsen (2015), using cognitive strategies such as heuristics, criticism, and interpretation. As a result of our research, we understand that Revista Schola has established itself as a tool for the ABE to communicate issues related to education, presenting activities to members, researchers, intellectuals, institutions, and associations at the national and international levels, as well as a tool for scientific dissemination and the circulation of ideas through-exportation with the aim of disseminating and promoting certain discourses, meanings, and themes related to the field of education and teaching.

    Possui doutorado em Educação, mestrado em História e graduação em História (Licenciatura e Bacharelado) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Bolsista Produtividade em Pesquisa - PQ 2/CNPq. Professora do Centro de Educação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte exercendo o cargo de Pro-reitora Adjunta de Pesquisa (2023-atualidade). É professora-orientadora no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (UFRN) e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Profissional do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN). Defensora da escola pública e sócia da Sociedade Brasileira de História da Educação (SBHE) e da Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação em Educação (ANPEd). Editora da Revista Brasileira de História da Educação (ISSN 2238-0094), Revista Brasileira de Educação (ISSN 1809-449X) e History of Education in Latin America - HistELA (ISSN 2596-0113).
