A leitura incerta: a relação de professores (as) de Português com a leitura

This article presents results of an exploratory investigation on how Portuguese teachers relate to reading. Based on sociological studies of education, family, and cultural practices, it analyses data on teachers reading practices gathered through questionnaires, memories written by teachers concerning their experiences with reading, and interviews with, as well as class observation of one particular teacher. The main results of the investigation can be identified with a set of hypotheses concerning reading practices of Portuguese teachers.
